Integrated Thinking & Integrated Reporting

Course description

Business is at the crossroads of the three critical dimensions for sustainable development, namely the economy, society, and the environment. All companies and organizations are faced with game-changing challenges with climate change, social inequalities, cybersecurity, and the pandemic being at the forefront.

Most stakeholders (governments, business leaders, society, investors, supply chain providers, etc.) firmly believe that a strong ESG vision and culture will drive value in their countries, organizations, and businesses. Accordingly, there is a shift from a short-term mindset and profit-centric business models to those of stakeholder inclusivity, environmentally responsible and sustainability for the long-term.

The course will cover the essentials of integrated thinking, value creation in a contemporary sense, and integrated reporting.

There will be the active consideration of the ‘Six Capitals’ – Financial – Intellectual – Manufactured – Human – Social – Natural, their relationships and the reporting thereof.

Using real-world examples, interactive group discussions, quizzes and Q&A, participants will learn how to approach, consider, evaluate, and apply integrated thinking concepts and principles. Similarly, the same will apply to integrated reporting.
