Our Name
The ancient Greeks had two words for time: Chronos and Kairos.
While the former refers to chronological time, the latter signifies a critical or opportune time for action!
An updated definition of ‘kairos’ concludes that, along with taking advantage of the timeliness and appropriateness of a situation, the term also implies “being knowledgeable of and involved in the environment where the situation is taking place in order to benefit fully from seizing the opportune moment”.
Furthermore, Eukairia (ευκαιρία) derives from Kairos and means a “good opportunity” or a “suitable moment in time”.
It represents a turning point or a chance to act effectively. Think of it as the favourable window of time when everything aligns for success.
This has been the inspiration behind our name.

George is a Chartered Accountant with Big 4 and over 35 years’ post-qualification experience.
He is a seasoned finance and banking senior executive, both at Executive Committee and Board level. His experience spans Pharmaceutical & Biotech, Retail Banking, Risk Management, Compliance, Corporate Governance, M&A, Sustainability & ESG.
George has delivered above average results in profitability, risk and compliance, with positive and impactful outcomes. He has an agile and collaborative style, with an ability to influence and lead across complex projects, dealing with diverse stakeholder groups. He has displayed strategic vision and decision-making capabilities, enjoying good working relationships with stakeholders and regulators.
Leadership, culture and purpose have always been at the forefront of George’s career, from scouting, military service, and in business roles, demonstrating a capability in developing and leading high-performance teams. He has mentored, coached, trained, and developed competent leaders, from culturally diverse backgrounds, to succeed.
George is very committed to sustainability and the environment, focusing on an Integrated Thinking and Integrated Reporting approach to non-financial reporting.
